WALHI's damning report on Freeport-Rio Tinto's Grasberg mine last week prompted a visit by Indonesian parliamentarians to investigate the allegations.
The UK-based Indonesian human rights organisation, TAPOL, has published a detailed history of the mine, demonstrating that - whatever conclusions may be reached by the team - West Papuans have suffered far too much already from the project's impacts.
