Except where noted, all material on The NewStandard site is copyrighted by TNS. Commercial republication is strictly prohibited, but for the time being we encourage nonprofit republication of all our material. We only ask that you prominently attribute the source and author, and that you link back to The NewStandard (http://newstandardnews.net). And as we are just getting started as a publication, we further request, but do not require, that you prominently display a short message encouraging your readers/visitors to support independent, nonprofit, anticommercial news.

The NewStandard pays writers, artists, consultants and editors for our work. If you benefit from our efforts, we ask that you reimburse us to the extent you are able. We are presently building a syndication system that will facilitate contractual reprint rights on a sliding scale, case-by-case basis. Small grassroots and nonprofit organizations will always be granted conditional use of NewStandard content free of charge.
